WildStar Stalker DPS Leveling Guide
We’ve seen a lot of levelling / skill guides for other classes around the forum and websites, but nothing really for the Stalker class. We’ve been asked a lot in game for advice and tips when We’ve ploughed through mobs near other stalkers, so I thought I’d stick something together and share with the fans. This is just a quick overview of what I do, it may not be the best or most efficient but it gives a basic outline for new Stalkers to build on their own knowledge.
The Build / Skill Choice
[Key1] Shred – Our bread and butter filler skill, a must have.
[Key2] Impale – Single target nuke, damage is increased behind the target / from stealth
[Key3] Concussive Kicks – Nice burst damage once you’ve got Lv25, and are able to get the T4 upgrade. (Prior to this, Use Analyze Weakness)
[Key4] Neutralize – Pretty insane, spamable AoE damage
[Key5] Punish – Hard hitting, Suit Power regeneration skill.
[Key6] Stagger – Stuns up to 5 foes and removes 1 Interrupt armour, use this for interrupting spell casts and getting behind the foe for higher impale damage!
[Key7] False Retreat – A secondary interrupt skill, knocks foes down on the second press, great for dodging telegraphs or interrupting them.
[Key8] Tactical Retreat – Basically an escape / get out of jail free card. Can’t count the number of times this has saved my life
AMP Tree
We’ve tested out a few ways to go early on with your amps, but I’ve found nothing better than going pure damage. Kill faster…. level faster. So focus on the Assault section of the AMP’s to start with.
[1-3] Assault Power 1 -> Assault Power 2 -> Assault Power 3
[4-6] Critical Hit 1 -> Critical Hit 2 -> Critical Hit 3
[7-9] Critical Hit Severity 1 -> Critical Hit Severity 2 -> Critical Hit Severity 3
[10] Brutality Mastery
[11] Onslaught
[12] Devastate
[13] Fatal Wounds
[14-16] Life Steal 1 -> Life Steal 2 -> Life Steal 3
[17] Unfair Advantage
Stats
Your main focus for your weapon is maximising your Assault Power. This is our main damage modifier.
Secondary stat wise, aim for Brutality and Moxie. Brutality increases your Assault Power, and Moxie is Crit Hit chance and Crit Severity Rating…. More Crits, More damage, faster killing.
The Rotation
You want to be attacking from stealth whenever possible, always open with Impale if its single target or Neutralize if there is a group of mobs. Impales damage will be increased from stealth. You do NOT need to be behind the target and in stealth, as Impale does not double dip.If there’s a group of mobs, Stealth in and open with Neutralize, the first cast will not increase the cost, thus allowing you to get an extra one off, with a guaranteed crit!
Single Target Rotation:
Stealth -> Impale -> Stealth -> Impale -> Punish -> Stagger -> Impale from behind. Mob should be low HP by now, finish off with Shred.
If you need to interrupt a telegraph or are taking some damage, use either Stagger or Tactical Retreat as and when needed.
Only use Punish when below 35 Suit Power.
Use Shred as your filler whenever required.
AoE Target Rotation:
Stealth -> Neutralize -> Neutralize -> Stealth -> Neutralize -> Punish -> Neutralize -> Shred to finish off
If you need to interrupt a telegraph or are taking some damage, use either Stagger or Tactical Retreat as and when needed.
Only use Punish when below 35 Suit Power.
Use Shred as your filler whenever required.
